据了解，云垌村属我市港南区木格镇，旧称君子垌，至今有250多年历史。其中，为群众所熟知的云垌村客家围屋是广西最大的客家围屋，也是广西客家围屋文化的缩影，于2011年列为我市文物保护单位。清末，浔州府赋予该村为"文化乡"，民国年间又有"小香港"之称。《云垌村志》370千字，图文并茂记载了云垌村客家先民耕读传家、建造围屋、办厂兴学等历史，是了解客家人生活变迁的读本。
